Our lawn care professionals in STL are highly experienced and passionate about the environment.
Owner, Craig Martin was born and raised in central Missouri and returned to the Show-Me State in 2004.Growing up near the Ozarks, Craig has always had a passion for being outside and being surrounded by clean air and towering trees.
Stints in Arkansas and North Carolina only further cemented his appreciation for the environment and our natural surroundings. The moment Clean Air Lawn Care became a possibility, Craig leapt at the opportunity and brings his excitement about clean, quiet, sustainable lawn care to St. Louis.
Shortly after arriving in town, Craig began working in the pallet and crate industry as an inspector. It was there he rediscovered a drive to be a better steward of our resources, and he takes pride in being connected to an industry that has worked over the past couple decades to promote forest growth and better sustainable practices to utilize lumber and wood. With Clean Air Lawn Care, Craig now takes that a step further and brings those sustainable, organic practices to homes and neighborhoods throughout the St. Louis area.
Craig loves volunteering at City Academy where his two children attend school, including working to lead the Cub Scout pack and motivate the boys to get active and experience the outdoors. As a former sports writer, and husband to Katie Felts who spent nearly 20 years as a sports broadcaster, Craig and his family are never too far removed from the sports world, whether that be watching the Cardinals or kicking the ball around the back yard.
Owner Katie Felts-Martin finds herself blazing another trail only this time in the Green Industry. Prior to Clean Air Lawn Care, Katie had become something of a pioneer. In almost two decades of sports broadcasting she was the first female in the sports department at three TV stations before joining KSDK in St. Louis … although she would never consider herself an innovator. In the photo to the left, Katie is with Lou Brock, Baseball Hall of Fame, during the Cardinals Fantasy Camp before she pitched against the Legend’s Team.
Katie’s passion for the outdoors goes back to a youth filled with select softball and working at Spring House Country Club in Nashville, TN. Now, as a mom of Trevor and Izzie, she is focused on their future and the natural resources available to them and many others. “As a mom, the safety of your children is priority number one,” Katie said. “And if your kids are like mine, playing in the yard and rolling around in the grass shouldn’t give you hesitation, unless there are chemicals put on it. We’re here to offer families and neighborhoods peace of mind. Our organic practices are safe for kids and pets because our fertilization program is plant based.”
